Course - week1

I started to study, hooray :) I found a great website a few months ago, and now they have an online pattern designing course. Unfortunately I am a bit late, I've just finished with the first week's exercises, even they started the third. But now I have a chance to know the photoshop, I got new inspiration, motivation, so I am really happy with this :)

Vegre megint tanulok :)) Talaltam egy nagyszeru weboldalt nehany honappal ezelott, es most inditottak egy mintatervezo kurzust. Sajnos egy kicsit le vagyok maradva, epp csak befejeztem az elso het feladatait, noha mar a harmadikat kezdtuk. De most lehetosegem adodott megismerni a photoshopot, uj inspiraciot, motivaciot kapok, szoval nagyon boldog vagyok ezzel :)

The quality of the next pictures is not satisfying.. but it's okay now :)

So we had to create some really simple patterns - I used washitapes:

Szoval nagyon egyszeru mintakat kellett alkotnunk elsore - en washitapet hasznaltam:

Then I took photos: (plus I was drawing a little on them :) )

Then I started to create very simple motifs with some patterns. I chose a level. I've seen in the British Museum interesting 'dance-shields', I have another post about this. So I already used this motif, but I really liked it, so I wanted to use it again :) 

Aztan elkezdtem krealni egy nagyon egyszeru motivumot nemi mintaval. Egy levelet valasztottam. Lattam mar a British Museumban erdekes 'tancos-pajzsokat', van rola egy korabbi bejegyzesem. Szoval hasznaltam mar ezt a motivumot, de nagyon szerettem, ugyhogy ujra akartam vele foglalkozni :) 

Then I was drawing something else :)

Here I started to doodle a simple level again but with more lines. Free lines. I am not free enough when I create something. I would like to be not so accurate..

Itt ujra egy egyszeru levelet kezdtem rajzolni, de tobb vonallal. Szabad vonalakkal. Nem vagzyok eleg szabad, amikor alkotok. Szeretnek nem olyan preciz lenni..

Then a little something else and a bit more accurate levels again but at least with more lines :))
Aztan egy kis mas es egy kicsit precizebb levelek megint, de legalabb tobb vonallal :))

And at last the most important thing for me: photoshop.. I always had a lot of problems, because I drew something, and I realised it's not good enough, but I didn't have patient to draw it again.. Now I can change a lot of things with a few clicks. Which is great..!

Es vegul a szamomra legfontosabb dolog: photoshop.. Mindig sok problemam volt, mert rajzoltam valamit, aztan nem volt eleg jo nekem, de nem volt turelmem ujrarajzolni.. Most szamos dolgot valtoztathatok nehany kattintassal. Ami nagyszeru..!

And now I'm starting the second week :)

Museums, ideas, drawings, patterns..

Saturday.. It was a wonderful day.. at least in the morning and the early afternoon.. I had a 'museum-day' :) (unfortunately, when I arrived at home, I had a fever.. maybe I was too enthusiastic :) anyway I am still sick.. but doesn't matter. it was a wonderful day :) )

So I went to central London where I visited the British Museum, and later the Fashion and Textile Museum. I took a lot of pictures, but I tried to draw a bit as well. And in the evening I was drawing more and more.. There are some attempts here, I would like to improve them, but now they are okay, I think :) 

Szombat.. Gyönyörű nap volt.. legalábbis a reggel és a koradélután.. 'múzeum-napot' tartottam :) (sajnos, mire hazaértem, belázasodtam.. talán túl lelkes voltam :) mellesleg még mindig beteg vagyok. de nem számít. csodás nap volt :) )

Szóval bementem a belvárosba, ahol ellátogattam a British Múzeumba, majd a Textilmúzeumba. Sokat fényképeztem, és igyekeztem rajzolni is. Este pedig még többet.. Szóval mutatok néhány kísérletet, még fejleszteni szeretném őket, de egyelőre rendben vannak, azt hiszem :)

I found these interesting 'dance-shields' in the room about Africa in British Museum. I made some sketches there, after some in a cafe, and in the evening at home.

Ezeket az érdekes 'táncos-pajzsokat' az afrikai részen fedeztem fel a British Múzeumban. Készítettem néhány vázlatot ott, aztán egy kávézóban, majd este otthon.

So this is the development of my patterns.. I designed a level, and after a plant from the shield.. it was obvious of course, because the shield's shape is like a level.

What do you think, I mean do you like to see the progress, the phases?

Szóval ez a mintáim fejlődésmenete.. Terveztem egy levelet, aztán egy növényt a pajzsból. Egyértelmű volt persze, hiszen a pajzs formája olyan, mint egy levél.

Mit gondoltok, úgy értem, szívesen láttok bele a munkafolyamatba, fázisokba?

And this is from the Fashion and Textile Museum :) I think the last picture of my drawings was inspired by the colours of this textile :) which is designed by John Rombola. I love these colours :) A lot of people don't like yellow and pink together, but.. I just love them :)

És ez pedig a Textilmúzeumból :) Azt hiszem, az utolsó képet a rajzaim közt ennek a textilnek a színei inspirálták :) amit pedig John Rombola tervezett. Imádom ezeket a színeket :) Sok ember nem kedveli a sárgát és a rózsaszínt együtt, de.. én csak szeretem őket :)

First attempts with shrink plastic

Inspired by the leaf-drawings what I made earlier.

I tried to print on them, I mean I copied my drawing to a shrink plastic, and the result was quite good :)

And they are my very first attempt. I drew them with the pen on the picture. They are a bit tiny, but I like them :)
