Museums, ideas, drawings, patterns..

Saturday.. It was a wonderful day.. at least in the morning and the early afternoon.. I had a 'museum-day' :) (unfortunately, when I arrived at home, I had a fever.. maybe I was too enthusiastic :) anyway I am still sick.. but doesn't matter. it was a wonderful day :) )

So I went to central London where I visited the British Museum, and later the Fashion and Textile Museum. I took a lot of pictures, but I tried to draw a bit as well. And in the evening I was drawing more and more.. There are some attempts here, I would like to improve them, but now they are okay, I think :) 

Szombat.. Gyönyörű nap volt.. legalábbis a reggel és a koradélután.. 'múzeum-napot' tartottam :) (sajnos, mire hazaértem, belázasodtam.. talán túl lelkes voltam :) mellesleg még mindig beteg vagyok. de nem számít. csodás nap volt :) )

Szóval bementem a belvárosba, ahol ellátogattam a British Múzeumba, majd a Textilmúzeumba. Sokat fényképeztem, és igyekeztem rajzolni is. Este pedig még többet.. Szóval mutatok néhány kísérletet, még fejleszteni szeretném őket, de egyelőre rendben vannak, azt hiszem :)

I found these interesting 'dance-shields' in the room about Africa in British Museum. I made some sketches there, after some in a cafe, and in the evening at home.

Ezeket az érdekes 'táncos-pajzsokat' az afrikai részen fedeztem fel a British Múzeumban. Készítettem néhány vázlatot ott, aztán egy kávézóban, majd este otthon.

So this is the development of my patterns.. I designed a level, and after a plant from the shield.. it was obvious of course, because the shield's shape is like a level.

What do you think, I mean do you like to see the progress, the phases?

Szóval ez a mintáim fejlődésmenete.. Terveztem egy levelet, aztán egy növényt a pajzsból. Egyértelmű volt persze, hiszen a pajzs formája olyan, mint egy levél.

Mit gondoltok, úgy értem, szívesen láttok bele a munkafolyamatba, fázisokba?

And this is from the Fashion and Textile Museum :) I think the last picture of my drawings was inspired by the colours of this textile :) which is designed by John Rombola. I love these colours :) A lot of people don't like yellow and pink together, but.. I just love them :)

És ez pedig a Textilmúzeumból :) Azt hiszem, az utolsó képet a rajzaim közt ennek a textilnek a színei inspirálták :) amit pedig John Rombola tervezett. Imádom ezeket a színeket :) Sok ember nem kedveli a sárgát és a rózsaszínt együtt, de.. én csak szeretem őket :)

Fashion and Textile Museum

I attended at a workshop in London!! :) I was scared that I can't understand the teacher or the others, but I had just little problems :) And I visited my first exhibition here :)

So I spend the rest of my day in the Fashion and Textile Museum. Firstly I saw the Kaffe Fassett (web) exhibition. I show you a lot of pictures instead of a lot of speaking :)


Részt vettem egy workshopon Londonban!! :) Féltem, hogy nem értem a tanárt vagy a többieket, de csak egész kicsi problémáim akadtak végül :) És megnéztem az első kiállításom itt :)
Szóóval a napom nagy részét a londoni textilmúzeumban töltöttem. Először a Kaffe Fassett (web) kiállítást néztem meg. Mutatok képeket inkább sok szöveg helyett :)

So the exhibition was really cool :) And we could watch two interviews with Kaffe Fassett!! It is fantastic that he speaks about colours and his inspiration!

Szóval a kiállítás szuper volt :) És 2 interjút is megnézhettünk az alkotóról!! Fantasztikus, ahogy beszél a színekről és az inspirálódásáról!

The workshop was not bad, but we didn't learn anything. We drew two dresses on manikins. The teacher was nice, and gave some advice, but I thought we can know new techniques. Even so I enjoyed the workshop too of course, just I wanted to know new things :)

A workshop maga nem volt rossz, de nem tanultunk semmit. Rajzoltunk két ruhát szabóbabán. A tanár aranyos volt, és adott néhány tanácsot, de én azt hittem, megismerhetünk több új technikát. Ennek ellenére persze én élveztem, csak új dolgokat akartam megismerni :)

this is my drawing during half an hour.. I haven't drawn since I graduated, and that was 3 years ago, so it has mistakes, but I'm happy that I could draw again :)
ez pedig az én fél órás rajzom.. Nem rajzoltam, mióta lediplomáztam, annak meg már 3 éve, szóval vannak hibái, de örülök, hogy újra rajzolhattam :)
